Potatoes surprises

Do you have guest and you are looking for something fancy as appetizer?
Are you tired of boiled potatoes?
This recipe might be what are you looking for!

  • 500 gr potatoes
  • 400 gr flour
  • 7 gr yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tblspoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 springs of rosemary
  • 100 gr cheese like caciotta
  • milk, the amount that is needed

For start, boil the potatoes, mash them and wait until they cool down.
Meantime, take some rosemary and break it into small pieces and add it to the potatoes.

When the potatoes are cooled, add the olive oil, the salt and the egg and mix it.

Then add the flour and the yeast until a compact mixture.

Roll the pastry until half centimeter high. With a glass, cut the pastry in circles.

Now, cut some cheese (I used a cow Kashkaval) into cubes, wet the circles with some milk, put one cheese cube in the middle of a circle and close it with another circle.

Put the circle in a baking pan and leave it into the off oven for one hour.

Then bake them about 40-45 minutes at 180° C.

If they are abundant, don't worry! The next day they'll be even better! Enjoy!
