Abitare all'estero è un'esperienza emozionante. Anche il semplice "andare a fare la spesa" può trasformarsi in nuove scoperte, nuove avventure. Si conoscono tantissime persone, ciascuna col suo retaggio differente, con i suoi trucchi in cucina, con i suoi angoli di mondo esplorati.
Tuttavia, per quanto possa essere avvincente è inevitabile che, ogni tanto, il cuore si allontani dal nostro corpo per tornare "a casa". Si apre la nostra pagina facebook e i nostri amici di sempre hanno pubblicato le foto dell'ultimo sabato sera passato insieme; si chiama su skype per fare gli auguri al fratello di turno e si vedono tutti i parenti festeggiare insieme in quella, che un tempo, era casa nostra.
E' normale che ogni esperienza della vita abbia i suoi lati positivi e quelli negativi; in questo caso, è proprio la lontananza da tutto ciò che un giorno è stato per me "casa", ad essere in assoluto il lato peggiore. E da questo è nata l'esigenza di accorciare questa distanza, senza tuttavia prendere alcun aereo!
Quante volte visitando questi luoghi nuovi, ho pensato "quanto piacerebbe questa cosa a mia mamma", o "questo lo devo proprio far vedere ai miei amici", perchè ogni cosa in cui ci imbattiamo diventa più vera, più bella se la condividiamo con qualcuno.
Questo è il mio modo di condividere ciò in cui mi imbatto, che sia un bel palazzo antico, una mostra di arte mediorientale, un ristorante che cucina i dessert divinamente, un buon bicchiere di vino, una notizia letta per caso sul quotidiano locale.
Un blog, dunque, all'interno del quale si incontrano diverse culture, si possono percorrere scorci suggestivi di alcune città del mondo, assaporare gusti esotici e dialogare liberamente su temi della nostra quotidianità.
Living abroad is an exciting experience. Even the simple "go shopping" can turn into new discoveries, new adventures. You know a lot of people, each with its different heritage, with its cooking tricks, with its corners of the world explored.
However, no matter how fascinating it is inevitable that, from time to time, the heart turns away from our body to return "home ". You open your facebook page and your old friends have posted pictures of last Saturday night spent together, you call on skype to wish happy bday to your brother and you see all your relatives celebrate together in this, that at one time, was your home.
It's normal that every experience of life has its positive and negative sides, in this case, it's the distance from everything that one day it was for me " home", to be the worst. And from this it was necessary to shorten this distance, without taking any plane!
How many times visiting these new places, I thought "my mom would really love that" or " I should show this to my friends", because everything we encounter becomes more real, more beautiful if we share it with someone .
This is my way of sharing what I bump into, if it is a beautiful old building, or an exhibition of Middle Eastern art, a restaurant that cooks desserts divinely, a good glass of wine, read a news event for the local newspaper.
A blog, therefore, where different cultures meet, where you can take fascinating glimpses of some cities in the world, savor exotic tastes and talk freely on topics of our daily lives.
